Helping Neighbors: Supporting the Panhandle Wildfire Efforts

Greenville local Lee Wells is spearheading efforts to provide relief to the thousands of ranchers and their cattle after massive wildfires have affected the Texas panhandle. With around 80% of Texas’ cattle located in the panhandle, the fires have utterly devistated the state’s already stressed beef industry and has tremendously impacted the livelyhoods of tens of thousands of ranchers, if not more.

Noon Kiwanis is supporting Wells’ efforts to raise awareness through promoting the 2024 Texas Wildfire Relief Donation Challenge. Can you donate just $20.24 to the cause? Every dollar makes a difference, and every donation fills a need. 100% of all donations will go toward feed, fencing, and fuel for transportation. All donations are tax deductible through Wells’ 501(c)3.

Keep your eye out for a future date when Lee Wells will be coming to speak to Kiwanis about his ranch, restaurant, and wildfire relief efforts.
